pMARIES COUNTY Mo KMIZppMaries County Emergency Management announced Monday on its Facebook page that the Maries County Courthouse was the target of a cyber attack and that the attack is now overppMaries County EM said the attack began last week and appeared to have caused intermittent phone and internet issues before causing issues with administration phones 911 lines radio communications and MULES connectivity The post stated that phones would ring in the court house and it would have no answer when employees picked up the callppThe post states one 911 call was delayedppTo our knowledge only one 911 call was delayed the post states The caller reported having to call 911 four times before getting an answer Additionally the attack impacted the 911 consoles requiring the 911 dispatcher to collect the call details and direct dial Osage County Communications instead of transferring the call to their dispatch center ppShould this begin to happen again we will immediately send out a CodeRED notification and make a social media postppIn the comments of the post Maries County EM stated the origin of the attack could be from overseas It stated the attack was an IP based attack that kept changing locationspp
