Cyber attack on Elbląskie Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej - the IT network has been infected with malware. The result was the loss of some customer data.
Fortunately, the attack did not disrupt key heat supply systems for residents.
- Key systems in the company, servicing the district heating system and accepting reports to the District Heating Emergency Service, work smoothly. However, customers may have problems with obtaining current information from the company, for example on the balance of settlements or the status of the application for connection. That is why EPEC has launched a new number for customers - says Małgorzata Pryśko-Grobelna from Elbląskie Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej.
THE COMPANY TRIES TO UNLOCK THE MAIN HUB
Efforts are underway to restore the operation of the dedicated telephone exchange. This new number is: 502 489 964.
The management board of the heating company from Elbląg notified the Internal Security Agency of the cyber attack.
