The Department of Indre-et-Loire announces this Monday, July 11 to have been the victim of a cyberattack, which occurred overnight from Sunday to Monday. All of the Department's computers and the telephone network are paralyzed, the statement said.
" There is no longer a telephone, there is no longer any internal messaging system and we can no longer be called from outside, " explains President Jean-Gérard Paumier. " It's quite annoying because it blocks a lot of things. Things are in progress with cyber experts. We got in touch with specialized agents from the Ministry of the Interior to restore normal operation which does neither the services nor the users of the Department. Everything had to be stopped precisely to limit the intrusion of those who try to break in. There, now, we must clearly identify the cause. This is a problem which unfortunately has already hit number of large communities. ”
The Department ensures that physical reception on sites is maintained.
