CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A man has been arrested for stealing records of criminal cases in Batangas, authorities said yesterday.
John Carlo Lumbres was arrested by barangay watchmen at his home in Tanauan City.
Seized from Lumbres were 18 sacks containing records of the Tanauan Regional Trial Court Branch 83, according to Col. Glicerio Cansilao, Batangas police director.
ADVERTISING
Police said a witness saw Lumbres loading the sacks in a tricycle.
It was not immediately known why Lumbres stole the documents.
