A proposed class action against Scripps Health over a 2021 data breach was thrown out of federal court Wednesday, when a Southern District of California judge said too many Californians meant it lacked jurisdiction.
Scripps Health, the second largest healthcare provider in San Diego, allegedly didn’t properly secure and safeguard its information networks, allowing cybercriminals to infiltrate its network servers and access sensitive personal and medical information.
