The incident happened in May, when the 18-year-old student at Glastonbury High School popped a Hitler quote underneath the photo of a classmate, police said.
The quote from the Nazi dictator said: “It is a quite special secret pleasure how the people around us fail to realize what is really happening to them.”
The Hitler quote was actually attributed in the yearbook to George Floyd, according to police.
Investigators alleged the same student was responsible for another fake yearbook entry, in which he referenced one of the Boston Marathon bombers and drug use.
Both quotes were discovered in May after yearbooks were distributed, reported The Associated Press. The school recalled the yearbooks, however, to remove the offending entries.
“We deeply regret not having caught the act of bigotry and vandalism before the yearbook was printed,” school administrators said in a statement at the time the yearbooks were recalled. “We are examining and will revise our yearbook procedures for collecting and reviewing future student submissions.”
The unnamed teen was previously banned from attending his graduation ceremony.
He faces two counts of third-degree computer crime and is due in court on Aug. 6.
