After highlighting in the article that the Avaddon ransomware group had made at least two mistakes, the first was to put the wrong site of the Union of Municipalities under DDoS attack ( Unione dei Colli DiVini nel Cuore del Monferrato instead of the Unione di Comuni Colli del Monferrato ).
Avaddon's second mistake was to publish, together with some administrative documents of the two Municipalities of the province of Asti, a screenshot of an administrative document of the Municipality of Cisliano and as we remembered Cisliano is a Municipality of the Milanese hinterland.
But what has happened in the last few hours?
Avaddon changed the post header from "UNION OF THE DIVINE HILLS IN THE HEART OF MONFERRATO" to "MUNICIPALITY OF VILLAFRANCA D'ASTI", as documented in the image below, also leaving the wrong site still under DDoS attack ( unionecolledivini.at.it) which gathers a series of municipalities in the Asti area, but not those of Villafranca d'Asti and Baldichieri d'Asti which instead are part of the Union of Municipalities of the Monferrato Hills (collidelmonferrato.at.it) as can be seen from the documents stolen and published on the Avaddon website.
Avaddon in the post published on his website points out that the Municipality of Villafranca d'Asti is under DDos attack and this is also an error, in fact the website of the Municipality of Asti is still online and reachable as shown in the image below (l image is from 23:25 today 25 April).

The Avaddon ransomware group publishes screenshots of some data stolen during the cyber attack on the Unione di Comuni Colli del Monferrato , but by mistake it puts the wrong Unione (Unione dei Colli DiVini in the heart of Monferrato) under DDoS attack.

It is not the only mistake of cybercriminals, among the data exfiltrated and published yesterday there is a document from Cisliano, a municipality in the Milanese hinterland and which obviously has nothing to do with the Unions of Municipalities of the province of Asti.
In the press release of the group of cybercriminals published on its website, within the Tor network, we read that 10 days are given to decide whether to collaborate or not. In the event of non-cooperation, the hackers will publish the data in their possession.
Avaddon claims to possess sensitive documents such as financial documents, agreements, contracts, banking transactions, payments, applications and permits, identity cards, medical records.
SuspectFile contacted the Union of Colli del Monferrato Municipalities and the two Asti Municipalities that are part of the Union, Villafranca d'Asti and Baldichieri d'Asti, via e-mail for a statement on the matter .
We also contacted the Municipality of Cisliano asking if their administration was currently or in the recent past the subject of cyber attacks by the Avaddon ransomware group.
