Family was surprised by new arrest
The hacker's sister, who declined to be identified, spoke with the TV Integração reporting team about Vandathegod's new prison. According to her, the young man was under house arrest and wore an ankle bracelet. She said she was surprised by the new action:
"As a person who doesn't have a lot of education, he doesn't have a degree, and he was a hacker suspected of involvement [in crimes] in several countries."
Marcos Roberto Correia da Silva lived in a simple house in Bairro Laranjeiras along with his mother, three brothers and two nephews. The sister also said that the hacker did not give money to the family . “Here at home, there was no [computer]. He was going to go to the cafeteria. Then he came up with a notebook. If I had money, I would be in a mansion. I think a hacker makes a lot of money, ”she said.
“At home he was locked in his room. My mother always advised him to go to work. He said to deliver a résumé, that it wasn't life to be at the computer. What my mother can give in education, she did. ”

Investigations of Operation Deepwater
The investigators identified that, in 2021, confidential data from individuals and legal entities were made available on an internet forum . The page specializes in exchanging information about cyber activities.
On this website, information from individuals and legal entities was presented, such as CPF and CNPJ, full name and address.
According to the PF, the disclosure of part of the sensitive data was made free of charge by a user of the forum who, at the same time, exposed the sale of the rest of the sensitive information - they could be acquired with cryptocurrencies.
After due diligence, the PF identified the hacker suspected of obtaining, disclosing and marketing the data, as well as another hacker who suspected of selling the data through its own social networks.
