Ultrapar, the parent company of Grupo Ultra, sent CVM today a communication of relevant fact to report a cyber incident. The company says that yesterday it was attacked, without offering other details, and that "preventively interrupted some systems".

There is still no information on the dark web that a ransomware operator has taken responsibility for the attack or threatens to leak company data.

São Paulo, January 12, 2021 - Ultrapar Participações SA (B3: UGPA3 / NYSE: UGP, “Company” or “Ultrapar”) in compliance with article 12 of CVM Instruction 358/02, informs that , on January 11, suffered a cyber attack in its information technology environment and preventively disrupted some systems, partially affecting the operations of its subsidiaries. The Company promptly activated its control and security protocols to block the attack and assign accidents and is operating on a contingency basis.

Ultrapar is evaluating the extent of this incident and acting to mitigate its effects, making every effort to normalize its operations, and will keep the Released market of any relevant information related to this event.
