PALERMO (ITALPRESS) - A cyber attack is slowing down the internal operations of Amg Energia. The company announced it.
“On the information systems of the company, which deals with the gas distribution network and maintenance of the public lighting systems in Palermo, a restoration intervention was immediately initiated - underlines Amg Energia in a note -. A virus that entered the corporate network has made operating systems and some data unusable for the time being. However, there are no data losses or thefts ”.
“All the urgent and necessary interventions were immediately activated to bring the situation back to normal, operations which, however, will require a few days - explains the president of Amg Energia, Mario Butera -. We will report what happened to the Postal Police ”.
“Services relating to both gas distribution and maintenance of lighting systems are guaranteed and have not been interrupted. Due to the malicious event, however, some internal operations could be slowed down ”, the Company said.
